Meet the Founders

We didn't set out to create a marriage framework. We simply wanted to build a marriage that honored Christ.

Raised on opposite sides of the country, Aaron in the hills of West Virginia and Carrie in Southern California, we entered marriage with different family traditions, expectations, communication styles, and perspectives on what a healthy marriage looked like.

Like many couples, we discovered that love was essential, but it wasn't enough to carry us through every season.

As careers evolved, ministry responsibilities grew, children arrived, and life became fuller, we realized something important:

Healthy marriages don't thrive by accident. They are cultivated with intention,

with Jesus as the foundation.

The Marriage Well Framework grew slowly through prayer, conversation, real-life seasons, and plenty of trial and error.

Over time, we noticed that when one area of life felt unhealthy, our marriage felt it too. Work, rest, faith, friendships, finances—they all shaped how we showed up for one another.

We realized marriage cannot be separated from the rest of life.

The healthiest seasons of our marriage have been the ones where we returned to Christ, cared for the whole of our lives, and kept choosing to grow together.

That is the heart behind Marriage Well.
